Electrician 2 U Terms & Conditions

Introduction
Electrician 2 U, a trading name of Box 123 Ltd, provides electrical services under the following terms and conditions. By paying your invoice or accepting our services through email, message, or verbally, you agree to these terms, which form the contract between you and Electrician 2 U.

1. General Provisions

1.1 Changes and Availability
All planned works are subject to change based on workforce availability, access, customer decisions, and other unforeseen circumstances. We commit to transparent communication in case of any adjustments.

1.2 Estimates and Scheduling
Given timescales are estimates, reflecting our best knowledge at the time. They may be adjusted due to factors outlined in 1.1.

1.3 Alternative Trades
If delays arise from work done by trades not affiliated with Electrician 2 U, a reallocation charge of £250+VAT per person may apply. For corrective actions, refer to 4.2.

1.4 Communication
All agreements, requests for changes, complaints, and damage reports must be sent via email to ensure documentation and clarity.

2. Service Specific Terms

2.1 Electrical Services (E)
– E1 Fuse Box Upgrades: Includes all work up to re-energizing final circuits. Faults in existing circuits may incur additional charges.
– E2 Power Outages: During installations, power may be off for up to 6 hours.
– E3 Spot Lighting: Installing without ceiling removal is at the customer’s risk. Damage repair costs will be charged to the customer.

2.2 Tiling effecting electrical installation (T)
– T1 Surface Requirements: Tiling surface to be secure. Additional preparation may be chargeable.
– T2 Electrical Accessory Handling: Electrical accessories may be loosened and should not be used until adhesive dries.
– T3 Plastering Needs: Additional plastering may be required, unforeseen at the outset.

2.3 Plastering Services effecting electrical installation (P)
– P1 Bonding and Drying: Bonding compound requires up to 48 hours to dry before further work.
– P2 Channeling for Cables: Does not cover extensive defects that require removal back to brick.

3. Pricing and Payments

3.1 Adjustments
We reserve the right to adjust pricing as necessary, particularly for specialised, commercial projects, or those encountering complications. We’re committed to transparent communication and will provide updated pricing information before proceeding with any work.

3.2 Competitive Pricing
Our competitive pricing is designed for domestic customers within Wakefield and surrounding areas, up to 8 miles. These rates apply to standard domestic services. For specialised or commercial projects, we offer personalised quotes upon request.

4. Miscellaneous

4.1 Additional Work
For any additional work required while on site, payment is required in advance. In emergencies or for critical work, agreement via email, text or verbal and payment within 24 hours are necessary.

4.2 Reallocation Charge
Failure to agree on additional work may lead to withdrawal and a reallocation charge of £250+VAT.

4.3 Labour Charges
The current labour charge is £60+VAT per 30 minutes per person, plus materials.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or compensation for delays. Cancellations by the customer may be subject to charges based on time and materials already allocated.

6. Confidentiality

All pricing information shared with customers is confidential and not to be disclosed publicly.

7. Special Offers

We reserve the right to modify or terminate special offers at our discretion. Eligibility and offer terms are communicated directly to customers.

8. Amendments

Electrician 2 U reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version is available upon request or can be viewed online.

9. Dispute Resolution

For any disputes, we highly encourage direct communication to find a resolution. We are committed to fair and reasonable dispute resolution practices.
